Primary Objective

To create and implement a marketing, recruitment, and admission process attracting students to career opportunities in the hair and skin care industry.

Build and Implement an Effective Promotions Campaign

  • Network with high school counselors and/or high school representatives to communicate the opportunities within the beauty industry by participating in career and college events.
  • Network with salon owners and industry representatives to create a student referrals campaign.
  • Provide school tours and tour training to staff and students.
  • Create on-site informational career sessions to help recruit students.
  • Meet with parents on-site and at their homes to communicate message.
  • Participate or host community events, such as fashion shows, parades, and service giving.
  • Attend and host community networking events.
  • Recommend and develop school marketing strategies to drive sales.

Background experience within the spa and salon industry is preferred although not required.

  • BA in Marketing or related degree (experience can be substituted for education)
  • At least 3 years experience in sales/marketing or admission in a trade school environment
  • Excellent skills are required in the areas below.
    • Communication (written and verbal), sales, people management, customer service and conflict resolution
    • Organization and time management (filing systems, new process implementation, multitasking)
    • Computers and typing (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; ability to learn new programs
    • Teaching, training, communication, and presenting
